His porno-actress girlfriends, him accidentally shooting his fiance, his hilarious TV show, his comments about 9/11, him over dosing on cocaine accidentally, his role in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off . . . . I like him, some things I think are a little wacked, though. What do you think of him?

Hey everybody! I know this question has been asked alot but I only see answers that dont sound healthy at all.

I really want to lose ten pounds by Nov2 (my 21 bday!). I weigh 122 (5’1”) and would like to be atleast 112 by then. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do that?

I currently go to the gym everyday (burn about 400 cal) and go running at night. I drink tons of water and take lots of vitamins.

I got braces last week and Im in ALOT of pain so i have been eating mostly yogurt, oatmeal, jello (sugar free 10 cal) and pudding…. not too healthy i know.. but my teeth hurt way too much to eat solid food.

So basically, what can I do to lose weight and not starve myself?

No “water only and starve yourself” answers please!!!

    Thanks!!! All answers greatly appreciated!

My cat was just diagnosed with retinal detachment caused by high blood pressure and also with renal insuffiency. She is on blood pressure meds now she may or may not regain her sight. The vet wanted to put her on prescription wet food for her renal insuffiency (science diet) low in protein etc… I bought two cans which will only last me 4 days and they were 10 dollars. My problem is this I am without a job and living on savings and she is also 16 years old. I have to look at her age and my financial status. I want to help her and don’t want to make things worse but at the same time if I can’t pay my bills that’s not going to help her either. Also I have another cat that isn’t sick. What am I going to feed him because they can’t keep from eating each other’s foods

People always worry about gaining weight, I’m the total opposite. I’m a 21 year old guy. I’m 6’2 and I weigh around 155. I have been skinny my whole life. Both of my parents were skinny when they were my age but now they are pretty big. But I’m very scrawny looking and I look like a holocaust victim. I always wear baggy clothes. It hurts when I lay down because I have no cushion on my body. Even women have bigger arms than I do! I hate it when people point it out. Some people call me anorexic and I know I’m not. I avoid getting hugs from people because I know they will be shocked when they touch me. It just makes me feel really insecure and embarrassed.

When I eat, I get full very fast. But then I’m hungry again a few minutes later and then I don’t feel like eating. My hands get really shaky too. And I don’t want to work out when I’m this skinny because I won’t have any energy left in my body. I barely have any body fat on me to turn into muscle!

I want to get at least three full meals a day but with work, college, and my small budget it’s almost impossible to get that much. I burn whatever calories I get from working my ass off. I try to eat steak, eggs, and other high protein foods when I get the chance. I also drink high calorie shakes. I try to eat a good balance of fruit and vegetables too. I eat snacks between meals like nuts, cheeses, and power bars. Even fast food. Anything you can think of to gain weight. And I still don’t gain anything. I try to get at least 3,500 calories a day and that’s a struggle for me to get that much. My thyroid levels are fine too. Maybe I’m just not eating enough?

Is there like a Nutrisystem program for skinny people?! They have all these weight loss programs for obese people but what about for me? I have tried everything and I can’t gain a single pound! I want to join the military but I can’t because I’m too skinny. Please help because this is ruining my life :(

    I’m a 16 year old girl, 5’4, I weigh 135.
I want to drop down to at least 125 by December 21st as I’m going to a party where I’ll be wearing a um…revealing top and bottoms.
I want my tummy to be flat c: I understand I need to exercise and eat healthy. I’ve got that down. I have an exercise plan already. Also, drink a lot of water and nothing else, right?
What do I need to do further to increase my weight loss? I have less than three weeks. And I’ll of course continue my plan after the party, I just want to look good for then.
And also I was thinking about doing the 3 day water fast the days leading up to the party so ill be super small, even if that weight doesn’t stay off.
So any tips for quick and great results?
What kind of foods to eat specifically? Which foods to stay away from? Ect
    Please help c:

ill try going into detail as much as i can:
    height: 5’10
    ethnicity: white
age i started working out: 16
age now: turned 21 a few days ago.
    weight when i was 16: 175
    now: 143

this girl i asked out in high school laughed at me and said ‘um your kidding right, lose some weight’ and it hurt me really really really bad.
so i joined the gym, and i lost a TON of weight, i wasnt super fat, i had the round belly and no definiton anywhere on me.

i got pretty annorexic skinny to be honest. i was at 127 at my lowest.
so i had skinny arms and legs and a pretty skinny torso too at the time, you can see the hip bones and rib cage kinda, but i had no six pack, that was my real goal ever since i started.

then i got a girlfriend who was horrible. the first time i took off my shirt in front of her she said “oh.. i thought you had a six pack.. um.. yea” that KILLED me, man it shot my self esteem down.
i worked out a lot after that! but i remained annorexic skinny and no abs still.

after the breakup, i realized i had to eat more protein, so i did. the past year and a half, i have bulked up. my arms are bigger, i have pecs, you can still see my hip bones, and you can see the top 4 abs, i can see the lower 2 very vaguley when i flex hard and everything, but its just not THERE, like if someone said, ‘hey lift your shirt’, i’d have to pose and flex and hold my breath.

im 143 now, i do have muscle now, not annorexic, i workout 6-7 days a week, i take Up Your Mass protein right after a workout, and ill eat 4 egg whites with chicken breast as well.

i workout everything too, not just abs, my arms, legs, back, triceps, pecs, etc.
i run everytime i go to the gym, and 4 days a week i run at least 30 minutes if not longer.

i will admit, i think i have body dismorphia, where i see a distorted image of myself in the mirror, different from what others think, but still, it discourages me and makes me super super super depressed that i dont have abs. i feel as if it i cant get a girlfriend because i dont have the magical 6 pack :(

    help please.
ps if someone says ‘dont workout every day’, well.. i get even more depressed, i get super upset like if im at work and i didnt workout that day, i go bizirk when i get home and call myself fat, and refuse to eat, and when i go the next day i workout like crazy.

I recently moved in with boyfriend and he does NOT eat well. He’s always sick and I know it’s because literally for breakfast, lunch and dinner he’ll just work a bag of doritos. He’s finally accepted that this might be the problem but he just doesn’t LIKE healthy food. What are some healthy recipes with only a few ingredients what I could make for a very picky 21 year old :) Preferably something with a lot of protein and vegetables because he gets almost none. Also minimal meat since I’m a vegetarian and would prefer not to prepare it. Thanks!

I’m 21, 5’2 and 160lbs. I started working on my eating again over this past week. For those of you with experience losing weight only… I want to lose at least 30lbs and maybe even up to 40lbs within the next 4 months or so (quicker, if possible.) I was kinda hoping I’d see some results already as a result of detox but I haven’t lost a single pound. Last time I did this, I dropped 15lbs (and weighed 145) in just two weeks because I was detoxing and eating only raw veggies and fruit. I felt that I was depriving myself though so this time I wanted to really eat.

I limit my caloric intake to no more than 1300 calories a day. I drink around 80oz of water a day. More than anything, I just make sure not to exceed 400 cals for meals and 200 cals for snacks. I eat three meals and two snacks a day. So I try to eat every 2-3 hours.

I wake up at 5AM every morning. I work full time so I have to leave for work at 6:15. I don’t eat breakfast when I get up. I normally have breakfast within the first two hours that I wake up, at least. But sometimes I don’t because I get busy at work. I’m a nanny. So I TRY to have breakfast with the kids. I usually eat oatmeal with non fat greek yogurt and some fruit (usually a banana cause I LOVE bananas) or cereal like some plain old corn flakes. Every so often, I will have some boiled eggs as well. I really like boiled eggs and will eat them just as they are without salt. :) Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day!

I have a mid morning snack around 9 or 10. It’s usually some kind of fruit or a raw veggie. An apple or a carrot or some nuts like pistachios and almonds. Sometimes I have messed up and had a few cheez its or a granola bar as a snack (it’s really hard cause the family I work for eats tons of junk.) I SEEM TO CRAVE CHEESE (dairy) LIKE THERE IS NO TOMORROW. Any ideas on what I can do to help curb that craving without totally giving up on cheese?! I know there’s cheese sticks but I haven’t found a flavor of cheese stick that I like. Most of them taste like nothing to me and they do not give me a feeling of fullness.

For lunch I usually have some protein like any kind of white meat and I stay away from red meats. Normally this is a small serving of chicken on a bed of quinoa or brown rice. Or tuna with whole grain crackers/toast. I switch my days between carb days and protein days. On my carb days I will eat a spinach salad, usually with some strawberries. That’s the only salad I can stand. I like broccoli and cauliflower okay but it’s really dry and I hate dressings. I don’t even like olive oil it tastes like plastic to me plus it’s high in cals!! :( On protein days, I eat my meats. I have considered having some salsa and chips for lunch but I haven’t found a type of salsa I like yet and I’m not positive that it would be a good idea to try.

Afternoon snacks are similar to my morning snacks. Sometimes I will eat some leftovers from dinner last night especially if it’s tuna. I’m getting rather bored of eating apples though. So some snack ideas would be nice. ;)

After I am done at work around 4:30 I go for a light walk. I walk around a mile. Takes me like 30 mins.

For dinner, I love having veggies with some baked fish. I eat lots of green beans and I really like potatoes as well but have cut down on those because they seem to be heavy carbs. I also like squash, especially as an alternative to potatoes, but do not eat it very frequently. I tried to diet on mostly potatoes as my main veggie once and I actually gained weight. I’m not good with dinner ideas either. Dinner is my least favorite meal of the day because I do not eat with my family and I have a hard time deciding what I want. I normally feel like I’ve exhausted all my options already by the end of the day and I don’t want to eat the same thing twice a day, you know?

After dinner, I work out for about 20 – 30 mins. I do a bit of pilates and just some basic strength training. I have mild scoliosis, so doing lots of cardio like running is tough for me and I opt out of doing it. It puts too much strain on my back. Even just walking for 30 mins can put me in pain if I walk fairly briskly.

I go to bed by 9 or 10. And my routine stars all over again the next day.

Sorry this was so long but I’m really starting to feel down and less motivated because I’m sick of eating most of this stuff already. I’m a pretty picky eater and I was raised on a very unhealthy diet so it’s proving extremely tough for me to actually “enjoy” anything. I know I have to do it longer but, this is where the lack of motivation is coming in. I want to eat a deli sandwich and some mac and cheese SO BAD!!

I also miss sweets especially chocolate. Occasionally I will look in my purse and wish I had some Hershey’s kisses hiding in there. HELP ME!

Hello everyone, I’m a 21 years of age female. I’m 5’7″ and pretty skinny. I’m basically a skeletal system with some fat in my thighs, arms and tummy. My muscles require some work because i’m pretty weak and I wouldn’t mind trading off some of this fat for muscle. I’m not trying to lose weight or become a body home builder. I simply wish to enhance my general health, get some strength and become a little toned.

I just returned to school so I have access to a gym once more and I’m trying to get into a great routine.

My question is worrying protein supplements. I know that the best way to develop muscle is to get protein from your diet plan. And I certainly do occasionally, however like numerous college students, I do not have the time/energy to prepare chicken/fish every night for supper.

So can someone just tell me exactly what the goings on is? If there is a distinction at all in between them. I have actually become aware of whey protein but exactly what about plants proteins or rice.

Thanks to any individual that makes the effort to assist me.

People always stress over obtaining weight, I’m the overall reverse. I’m a 21 years of age guy. I’m 6’2 and I weigh around 155. I have actually been slim my whole life. Both of my parents were skinny when they were my age however now they are rather huge. However I’m really scrawny looking and I look like a holocaust victim. I always wear baggy clothing. I wish to get at least three square meals a day but with work, college, and my little budget plan it’s almost difficult to obtain that much. Possibly I’m just not eating enough?

Exists like a Nutrisystem program for skinny individuals ?! They have all these weight management programs for overweight people however exactly what about for me? I have attempted everything and I can not obtain a single pound! I wish to join the military however I can not since I’m too skinny. Please help since this is ruining my life:(.

Hi there, please read my whole question before answering, thanks.

I have a Shiba Inu/Rat Terrier mix and he is 21-22 pounds. I feed him 1 cup a day of Nature’s Variety Instinct (Turkey and Duck Meal and Rabbit Meal mixed). It is 35% protein. I like the quality of the food, he likes the food’s taste, and he seems to have no issues with it…prior to having him on the Instinct, I had him on Taste of the Wild (I like to switch it up for his benefit of health and taste).

I have been doing some research on here, not too much, but enough to be led to believe that too much protein COULD be bad? Now, I understand MANY dog food nutritionists have stated that it is a complete myth that there is a such thing as too much protein for a healthy dog, but I have read horror stories about high protein diets as well….enough to make me second guess my dog’s diet. I understand dogs are carnivores and that meat protein is far better than vegetable protein (and his diet being grain free, has meat named products in the first 3 ingredients, so I am not too worried about the SOURCE of protein), He has no kidney issues that I am aware of (no excessive thirst drive/frequent urinations or anything). I’ve heard and read many veterinarians say “too much protein is bad for a dog and it’s setting yourself up for a dog with kidney failure in the future!”…..eh, I don’t know what to believe anymore (my vet after all wanted him to be on Iams rather than Nature’s Variety or any other Holistic food – how much can we really trust the veterinarian anymore when it comes to proper nutrition?….a vet recommending a food that is far less quality than my choice?? please. how naive do they think some of us are? Which is why I have a real hard time believing them about what they say about high protein diets)

I have also read that dogs that need that 35% or more protein levels are sled dogs, agility dogs, etc, etc….Well my dog is a common house dog, he is half couch potato, but other than that I play some fetch with him and take him for a walk daily, but all in all he is not a real active dog. On a scale of 1-10, his energy is about a 5. He is a perfect weight and everything as well.

If I decide that these grain free foods (although high quality) have too much protein for him, it wouldn’t be an issue for me to switch him to something with high quality grains such as wellness, natural balance, Fromm, Canidae, Holistic Select, etc.

If any of you have good facts to back up your thoughts/opinions on the protein levels for dog foods, I would appreciate it to hear them…thanks!

    Hey guys!

My 21st birthday is in 55 days from now, and I would absolutely love to lose weight by then.

I know this is a long shot, but theoretically… I think I need to lose 50 pounds (I haven’t weighed myself in a while so this may be off). This seems impossible… But I want to try anyway.

If I ate 1200 calories a day, how many calories total would I need to burn every day to reach my goal? I have a lot of free time, so time isn’t an issue. Also, I have burned up to 1800 calories in a day before while eating 1200 calories, so if I push myself, it is definitely feasible.

Also, does anybody know of any really good high-burning calorie exercises? Thanks! :)
Snap. I totally forgot to add my details. I’m 4’11, a female, 170 pounds, and I want to weigh 120.

I am starting to exercise and will be going to the gym 5 days a week. I am 21 and want to lose atleast 20 pounds.

I am trying to eat healthier and more often (but smaller portions). Like today for example, I had a 4 oz. container of yogurt and plain wheat toast for breakfast. I have a Luna bar for a mid morning snack. I am having a salad with a few almonds and dried cranberries with fat free dressing for lunch. For an afternoon snack I have cucumber slices. And for dinner I will have probably a lean cuisine or smart ones dinner.

Is this a reasonable meal plan for one day? I can’t go crazy strict with my diet because I know I won’t stick to it. I am just trying to modify it. I cut out all soda and sweets at night.

I love to have my morning coffee really sweet. I drink about a 16oz. Do I have to cut out the sugar or can I enjoy my coffee in the morning the way I like it?

All that meat and fur is going to waste. The Humane Society should use the meat to feed the homeless, and the fur to make fur clothes. Why isn’t this happening?

Okay, so im 5’2 and 15 years old. you can probably say that i’m on the chubbier side. but i really want to shed off the pounds before summer so that i can wear a bathing suit and be comfortable when i go to the beach. it tends to make me reeeally self conscious when im the chubbiest girl of my friends X/ haha i definately think its time for me to seriously lose some weight and show some confidence when i pick out clothes. im seriously over being the cute chubby girl. i know everyone’s just going to say you should excercise or you should eat healthy. i know that. and i also know that i can’t starve myself. from experience, i know it doesnt work. the only problem is is that i dont know HOW to do these kind of stuff!! i mean, what really is eating healthy?? eating fruit and yogurt all day? my sister tells me thats not healthy either. urghh so frustrating. does anyone have any sample meal plans or some real excercise routines that i can do? PLEASE HELP!! XD i would reeeeeally appreciate it! hehe
    thanks again :]
